Claire likes to get our mini hymn books out and sing while Lyndon practices his violin.Just a little grooven for your enjoyment.
And my favorite one that I got today while I was at the checkout lane was, "why don't you take care of her while I ring this up." (insert raised eyebrows and steam slowly coming out of my ears.) Oh, she was just being thoughtful you say, but no she sounded annoyed with me because my kid was crying. However, I did respond with "if you wonder why kids cry in your store, you might notice that all your candy is strategically placed at there eye and hand level." So-(what I would have like to have said, "if you want me to take care of her, then do you mind if I hide all your sparkly toys and candy so I can get what I really came to purchase?)grrr.
Okay, okay, yes, I may be a little high strung on pregnancy hormones, but I'd like to think that I'd be just as bugged if I wasn't high on estrogen.
But in any case, I love my raging 20 month old dearly. Even if she gets cranky and makes me look bad, no matter how prepared I am with food, juice, blanky, and toys.
(After getting into my makeup. She wasn't in trouble...she just didn't want her picture taken)
