2011 here we come!!!!!

Happy New Year to all!

Here are a few of the fun events we had this December.
Polar Express with the Dartmouth "Partners" group (we can't offend those who aren't officially married-even though all photographed are)
hiking/xcountry skiing just up the road at 4pm at...."night".
My "too short" but ever so fun skis
I just love this shot. We had a great Christmas dinner, but the girls were more satisfied with a smoothie
Lyndon's brother Jonathan and his wife Jessica made our holiday more bright by staying with us for Christmas. The Habers from our ward joined us for dinner Christmas Eve too-it was a great night.
We finally got blasted with a good storm, but unfortunately it had to happen the day Jon and Jess needed to fly out, so their flight got delayed 4 days!
The beginning of this year's igloo

Here in our new year glory at 4pm at night. We are night owls around here.
I kept trying to get the perfect shot, but ended up with this great one of Claire and Lyndon grimacing at one big tooter before the shot went off. Oh, It makes me laugh looking at their faces.......suckers!
 Our now melting igloo
New Years Feast Japanese style with our friends Sachiko, Kaz, Taiju, and Maya.
We made them wear our silly hats...
Happy 2011 to you all!
I am so excited for what this next year will bring. Another triathlon (I have  a group of mommas joining me this time!), the start of Lyndon's 4th year of medical school, I will turn 30!!!!! Oh, man alive, I can't believe how old, yet how immature I am ;), Claire will be 4!! (This kills me), and who knows what else, but hopefully all good stuff.

May 2011 be good to you all.
Love,
Us.

"I want little Candy Canes"

You wish is our command little girl.
This one didn't care for Santa. But on another note, she has a great mullet, which calls for great pig tales.
Merry Christmas!!

For Julie

My friend cleaned out her husband's closet. He had several shirts he never wore, which happened to have the tag and stickers on them. She thinks I am awesome, so she gave them to me ;) I then made them into shirts for myself. I have made three so far because I am a t-shirt junkie.
Men's Shirts to ladie's. I cut up an old favorite that had holes in the front and used it as a pattern. Then pieced the new pieces together, serged them, and volia!

I left the neck raw, if you will. I liked it better than me trying to create bias and line the edge...it came out wiggly on my first T.  You could serge it too, but the matterial won't fray, so no biggy.

I got a majority of inspiration and tips from this gal, MADE . I check her blog twice a day sometimes just cruising through her tutorials. (I do have a life, I promise)

Something new

I haven't uploaded recent pictures of my fam damly, so here's one for ya. All my gal pals that keep me busy with play dates for the kids or different activities while our husbands go to school/hospital. I love these women (some not pictured) and they have made our now 3 years here awesome. Whenever I need a quick babysitter- or when one of them notices that I have had it on Sunday and invites us over for dinner-they are there.
Jared's Abby once told me to "never underestimate the power of girl time". I was in newly wed la la land when she said that, but it stuck and I have thought on it many many times since. Wise words, true words too. Amen.
