Thanks-be-givin

We had a super duper Thanksgiving thanks to the Scharman and Oscarson families. We drove just three quick hours down south and stayed with cousin Emily and her family along with Spencer, his wife Sho, and Uncle Paul, and Aunt Bonnie.
We felt right at home and enjoyed the warmth (Connecticut is warmer than NH- not to mention the warmth of being with people we love), food, entertainment, and accommodations (Emily and Clark slept on their kids bunk beds so that we could sleep on the guest bed whilst putting Claire in Hazel's crib next to us-how nice is that?!). We could not have had more gracious and sweet hosts. We're spoiled. Thanks so much Emily and Clark! We had so much fun with you all!
Claire getting ready for grace....even though she died 30 years ago.

The beautiful table settings.

Preparations. Emliy made everyone aprons. See what I mean, they were so nice and fun in every way possible.

Clark's submarine. I am afraid of describing anything about this awesome boat without sounding like an idiot. This was the coolest and not to mention most interesting thing one can do. Clark gave us a really neat tour of his boat, and I mean really neat. You feel like you are walking through a science lab (did you know subs make and clean their own air and make their own water?). Did you also know that the men sleep right next to the nuclear missiles? (is this bad to say? like I'm giving away top secrets??) The accommodations are tight to say the least. Clark is the Navigator and I wish I picked his brain more about his cool job, its really fascinating.

We also went to a cider mill and had yummy treats and cider, but alas..no pictures, it was fun too!

Thanks again family!
